Going To Adobe MAX
A Creative Reset
A few months ago, I got an invite to Adobe MAX as part of the Adobe Creative Cloud Community Summit, but this wasn’t just any trip. This was my first-ever brand trip, fully invited by Adobe themselves. That alone felt like a huge milestone, and I still can’t believe it happened.
If you’ve never heard of Adobe MAX, it’s the biggest creative conference in the world. Thousands of artists, designers, and innovators come together to learn, share, and experience the future of creativity. It’s a mix of panels, hands-on workshops, brand activations, and connecting with some of the most inspiring people in the industry. And for me, it was a completely new experience, traveling solo, stepping into a space I had only ever dreamed of being in, and truly feeling seen as a creative.
Stepping Into the Unknown
Walking into Adobe MAX in Miami, I had that familiar mix of excitement and imposter syndrome. I was surrounded by people I’ve admired for years, brands I’ve looked up to, and creatives who have built entire careers doing what they love. It was overwhelming in the best way.
One of the most surreal moments was being part of the Adobe Creative Cloud Community Summit, a private event where I met other creatives working in all kinds of fields—llustrators, photographers, brand designers, content creators—all pushing the boundaries of creativity. We shared our work, struggles, and wins. We hyped each other up. And it reminded me why I do what I do: for the stories, the connections, and the impact creative work can have.
And then, there were the brand activations—getting to experience new Adobe tools firsthand, creating live art, and even partying on a yacht (yes, a yacht).
The Takeaways: A Shift in Perspective
Since coming back, I’ve been reflecting on what this experience really meant for me. Here’s what has stuck with me:
1. Your work deserves space. Seeing the variety of creatives at Adobe MAX made me realize that there’s no one way to “make it” in this industry. Your unique perspective is valuable—someone, somewhere, needs it.
2. Community is everything. Connecting with other creatives refueled my creative energy in ways I didn’t expect. It reminded me that we don’t have to figure it all out alone. Whether it’s through collaborations, mentorship, or just supporting each other’s work, we’re stronger when we create together.
3. Dream bigger. Being in spaces where people are doing the kind of work I aspire to do made me realize—I can get there too.
What’s Next?
Adobe MAX didn’t just give me inspiration; it gave me momentum. I’ve been thinking bigger about my work, my art, and how I want to show up in this space. From refining my services to experimenting more with my art (and sharing it more unapologetically), I’m taking what I learned and applying it to everything I do.
So, if you’ve been waiting for a sign to go after something that feels big, scary, or out of reach—this is it. Sometimes, the only difference between where you are and where you want to be is just saying yes and figuring it out as you go. And trust me, it’s worth it.
