Discovering OKC Through Visual Storytelling: The Visit OKC Visitor’s Guide

I recently collaborated with Visit OKC to create a comprehensive Visitor’s Guide highlighting Oklahoma City’s local gems. Through this project, I used visual storytelling to showcase the heart of OKC, including its restaurants, shops, and diverse communities.

Project Details:  

This guide was built to encourage visitors to explore Oklahoma City’s hidden treasures, from its eclectic restaurants to its unique small businesses. With a focus on local communities, the guide offers an insider’s view of what makes OKC special. I contributed by visually bringing these stories to life through a combination of graphic design, photography, and a cohesive system.

My Contribution: 

As the multi-media designer, I worked on crafting the visual identity of the guide. This included designing custom graphics and building a consistent visual system to seamlessly guide readers through each section. Photography was used to highlight local businesses, capturing the essence of OKC’s diverse neighborhoods.

Impact:  

This project gave OKC visitors an easy-to-navigate guide that encourages them to support small businesses while exploring the city's unique offerings. Through intentional design and storytelling, the guide amplifies the community’s culture and creates meaningful connections between visitors and local gems.
